More about us

Vision...

A conservation partnership that provides leadership for the enhancement of Johnson County's natural resources and quality of life.

We see a county where our agricultural heritage, continued urbanization and production agriculture coexist in an environmentally and economically sustainable way. We see a balanced landscape where productive land and natural resources are protected, restored and thriving.

Opportunities

The Natural Resources Conservation Service and the District provide volunteer opportunities. If you have a special interest and would like more information on becoming an Earth Team Volunteer contact our office at (319)337-2322, ext. 3 or email us! (Volunteer opportunities). Thank You, Earth Team Volunteers!!!!

Meetings

The JCSWCD meets every third Tuesday of the month at 5:30PM. Meetings are open to the public, so feel free to contact us to be placed on the agenda or to just participate.
